ARTISTS: GoFundMe organized by Lauren Miscioscia to Please help artists from The MAIN Theatre recoup their gear. The MAIN is never without a show. When the theater burned, a local production of “You Got Older” was in the middle of its two-week run, having brought together many artists to design and build the show. This creative team lost many of their personal tools and equipment. They need your generous support to help them replace what was lost:
Jeremy D. Thompson is a local theater maker who devotedly and generously collaborates with productions all year long, utilizing his personal collection of equipment for multiple productions across the whole season. He lost a substantial collection of professional theatrical and production equipment, moving stage lights, lighting control gear, a full Canon camera and lens kit, power tools and miles of cabling built up over years for live production and theater work. The total estimated replacement value of everything lost is over $30,000.
Renato Biribin is an actor, writer, director, artist and theater maker who directed the last show to perform on the stage of The MAIN. He lost his personal inventory of power tools from Milwaukee valued at $2,500.
William Diament lost his Dewalt tools, stage management and set building gear, totaling $2,500.
David Stears built this theater from the ground up. He lost steel decking, platforms and moving lights, a loss of about $6,000.

BUSINESS: MB2 Entertainment will host a fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 18, benefiting businesses affected by the fire that tore through Main Street in Old Town Newhall on Monday, Aug. 24.
The fundraiser will be held 6-11 p.m. at MB2 Entertainment, 21516 Golden Triangle Road, Santa Clarita, CA 91350.
Tickets will be $50 per person at the door, with all proceeds going to Source Inc., Care Tucker, Newhall Refinery and El Trocadero.
Admission includes the live band Barnstorm performing, a pizza, salad station and appetizers, two hours of limited attractions and two hours of unlimited arcade. Food and drinks will also be included.
COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER: Local artist Daryl Bibicoff created a piece of art of an Old Town Newhall scene to commemorate the area after the recent tragic fire that destroyed several historic buildings. Bibicoff has partnered with fellow artist, Qiana Tarlow, of Peridot Gifts, an artisan collective, to sell the shirts. The deadline to purchase a t-shirt is Wednesday, Sept. 30.
