Construction Update Community Meeting

Thank you for joining the I-5 North County Enhancements Project team at our August Construction Update Community Meeting.  We presented an outline of recent and upcoming activities, including the significant progress of the new Weldon Canyon Rd Bridge, which is anticipated to be open to traffic this Fall 2023. We also provided information on the upcoming demolition of the existing Weldon Canyon Rd Bridge, which will require a full freeway closure from SR-14 to Calgrove Bl in the Fall of 2023.

The ongoing construction taking place at Butte Canyon, Gavin Canyon, Rye Canyon Rd, Santa Clara, and Calgrove Bl bridges were also highlighted. As well as the progress in the center median, retaining walls, and soundwall segment in Castaic, and the anticipated removal of the overhead sign along southbound I-5 on the existing Weldon Canyon Rd Bridge.
