SoFi Stadium is an unprecedented and unparalleled sports and entertainment destination in Inglewood, CA. The world’s first indoor-outdoor stadium, the complex is home for the NFL Los Angeles Chargers and Los Angeles Rams. Completed in Summer 2020, the state-of-the-art stadium will host a variety of events year-round including the 2022 Super Bowl, the 2023 College Football Championship Game, and the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Olympic Games in 2028.
Located on the site of the former Hollywood Park racetrack, the stadium field sits 100 feet below adjoining grade requiring a 100-foot high MSE wall surrounding the stadium and a complex system of retaining walls for the tunnels and ramps to the field. The translucent stadium canopy has a massive system of foundations extending outwardly from the stadium, in some locations extending under the adjacent public roads. This enormous and complex project, delivered on a fast track schedule by multiple prime contractors, designers, engineers, surveyors, and approving agencies established numerous industry firsts.
