The Chamber Institute’s mission is to bring together executive-level leadership to focus on local business issues and to provide leadership training, education and mentorship opportunities to the next generation of business leaders.

The think tank created by leadership of The Chamber Institute identifies a local business issue, creates a strategy to address the issue and works to bring about positive change through collaboration and advocacy for our business community.

Dr. Van Hook, Chancellor of College of the Canyons, serves as the Chair of The Chamber Institute. Van Hook is one of the most well-respected education executives in California and has the passion and vision to create a dynamic and synergistic environment to bring together executive leadership to focus on solving problems by creating opportunities for success.

The Chamber Institute’s leadership is composed of local executives that form a think tank focused on solving business issues. Those leaders also serve as mentors to young professionals who are brought in to be part of the team that helps to solve vital issues facing business.

LeadershipSCV is a key component of The Chamber Institute as a means to provide leadership training and personal development for the future leaders of the Santa Clarita Valley. The SCV Chamber’s young professionals council, NextSCV, help to connect those seeking to advance their careers and leadership involvement with executive-level mentors.
