Name origin: Since the foundation of this franchise is built upon the ultimate teeth cleaning experience, then the name must reflect that.   In dentistry, a dental hygienist checks the health of a patient’s gums with a small probe/ruler that measures how deep the pocket around the tooth is. The standard of care requires that these gum measurements are completed every year.  When charting these depths with an assistant, the dental hygienist calls out the depths in millimeters and the goal is to hear, “3, 2, 3” which signifies ideal gum pocket health.
