About Opportunities for Learning - Santa Clarita Valley

Opportunities for Learning (OFL) is a network of free public charter junior high and high schools in Southern California dedicated to providing a flexible and personalized educational experience. OFL serves students from diverse backgrounds, including those who may be behind on credits, seeking to graduate early, balancing responsibilities outside of school, or looking for an alternative to traditional classroom settings.

At OFL, students benefit from year-round open enrollment, allowing them to start anytime without waiting for a new semester. Each student works collaboratively with teachers, parents, and staff to create a customized learning plan that aligns with their individual needs, goals, and schedules.

OFL offers a variety of learning options, including independent study, small group instruction, and online courses. Students receive ongoing support from dedicated teachers, counselors, and mentors who are available for one-on-one guidance and consistent communication.

Beyond academics, OFL is committed to the whole student. The program provides access to A–G approved courses, workforce development resources, and post-secondary counseling to help students prepare for college, careers, or both. By prioritizing flexibility, support, and student-centered learning, OFL empowers students to succeed academically, personally, and professionally.
