About NAACP Santa Clarita

NAACP Santa Clarita is a local nonprofit civil-rights organization serving the Santa Clarita Valley. As a community branch affiliated with the NAACP’s California-Hawaii State Conference, it works to advance equality, justice, and equity through advocacy, community education, coalition-building, and support for individuals reporting discrimination.

• Mission and purpose: Promote and protect civil rights locally; advocate for fair treatment and equal opportunity for people of color and other marginalized communities.
• Primary focus areas: Criminal justice, education, health equity, civic engagement/voter empowerment, and broader economic and social equity initiatives.
