Sacramento Trip
April 21-22, 2008
Fifty-five community members and business leaders hopped on a bus to Sacramento to lobby for issues important to the Santa Clarita Valley.
For 2 days, the group lobbied for educational funding, congestion through the Newhall Pass on Interstate-5, and future water availability.
The Sacramento Trip was sponsored by KHTS AM 1220 and the office of Assemblyman Cameron Smyth.

Washington D.C. Trip
April 28 - May 1, 2008
A delegation of 16 representatives took a trip to Washington D.C. to meet with federal agency representatives, congressional staff, and members of Congress to request support in funding for much needed projects in Santa Clarita Valley. Project funding is needed for the completion of the Cross Valley Connector, a helipad at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital, College of the Canyons' University Center, the Santa Clara River Project, and the addition of HOV and truck lanes on Interstate-5 from the 126 to the 210.
