The SCV Chamber of Commerce and Poole & Shaffery, LLP proudly present the 2010 Employment Law Update. David Poole and Brian Koegle will review all of the relevant changes to California and federal law for business owners, including an update on: wage and hour laws, meal and rest period requirements, overtime compensation and calculations, reasonable accommodation laws and employee privacy, among other issues.
David S. Poole specializes in civil litigation with a focus in the areas of complex business disputes, labor and employment, real property and environmental law. Mr. Poole received his B.A. in 1977 from U.C.L.A. and is a 1980 graduate of the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. He was a Deputy Attorney General with the State of California, Department of Justice, in-house counsel with a large corporation and partner in a large national law firm before starting Poole & Shaffery, LLP in 1998.
Brian E. Koegle focuses on labor and employment law, and provides counsel to employers in a large number of industries with regard to hiring practices, employment contracts, wage and hour issues, compensation, discipline and termination matters. Mr. Koegle is a graduate of The Ohio State University and Southwestern University School of Law, where he was a member of the Interscholastic Trial Advocacy Honors Program.
The Chamber’s Monthly Membership Luncheon will be held at the Hyatt Regency Valencia from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cost is $35 in advance or $40 at the door.
